Thank you for not bending to the cancel culture agenda and not trying to sanitize, or even rewriting, history. I, for one, appreciate it. We deserve history as it was and not how we would have liked it to be.

On some cases I think changing things is the right call. Huckleberry Finn is a great story, and Jim's original name is going to completely overshadow anything else a modern kid would take away from reading it. As long as the original exists for people to go back and study, I'm fine with revising things for modern readers.

In this case, if someone wanted to go in and rewrite all of Jupiter's dialogue, I think it would certainly make for a more enjoyable and readable experience. Depending on the context and publication, that could be the right call.

Here, I wasn't about to rewrite the whole thing. That's not what this is.

I'm a little worried, because I don't really want the "Hell yeah! This is racism is hilarious!" crowd, but I do think it would be a disservice to truth and history to brush away stories like this away.
