Hello all, Shawn the Poe Fortnightly guy here.

As I teased in the emails for Devil in the Belfry, Monday begins the longest story to date in Poe Daily/Fortnightly - The Mystery of Marie Roget.

This story will update every weekday for two weeks, in sections that are about 3 pages long every day. At the end of the two weeks, I’ll take a week off and we’ll resume our usual Fortnightly schedule.

A few things:

If this is your cue that you’re subscribed to too many Substacks and you can’t read all this, you’ll find the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every Poe Fortnightly email. Or if you want to just skip this story but stay subscribed, you can ignore these emails and read the next poem or short story in February.

Gmail can be finnicky about sending Poe Fortnightly (and Letters From Watson, The Penny Dreadful, etc.) to Promotions instead of my main Inbox. In desktop, if you drag an email from Promotions to Primary it will ask if you want to do the same for every email from that address, hit Yes and it should be fixed.
